'THE MOTE' is a patented, maintenance free, ant-proof pet bowl that tricks
the senses of the scout ant. It is the ONLY bowl of it's kind and does NOT
take WATER or CHEMICALS to make it work. You can actually stick one next to
a fire ant mound and try to make it NOT work. I tell all of my retailers to
tell all of their customers to do this the first day they buy one. If ants
get in 'THE MOTE', the ONLY reason is because something (like grass) has
touched the top part of the bowl. This is very common among ant proof bowls.
The difference with ours is that once the grass is removed from the edge,
the worker ants try to return home with the food and fall out on their own.
In-other-words, nobody will EVER have to throw away food ever again.
'THE MOTE' is made in the USA and constructed from 100% High-Density
Polyethylene, which is as hypoallergenic as stainless and ceramics. HDPE is
UV-Ray resistant so there isn't any fading, chipping, or cracking of the
plastic of the bowls. I can attest to the fact that one of our royal blue
bowls has been outside for 7 years and doesn't show much aging at all, in
