About 7 years ago my husband and I lived in a small mountain town outside of
Denver. We bought an old summer mountain cottage at the top of a mountain.
It was a scene out of the movies and a dream come true. The house was very
small and had lots of problems. One of the first problems that needed to be
addressed was the fact it was September, our house was at 7300 feet and we
had no insulation. The road to the top was a four wheel drive high
clearance vechicle one lane dirt road with three severe switchbacks. We had
called every single insulation group in Denver and the surrounding areas to
find one that had the capability of bringing in their trucks. Only two had
trucks small enough. The first was a company with blown foam insulation,
our best choice. The other was a company that used old shredded newspaper
blown into the walls. We scheduled an appointment with the first. Before
the appointment we got a very angry call from them. Apparantly they had
been in the area and decided to come up to the

Best/Worst Customer Service:
My best service was in a fancy restaurant where I had to wait ten minutes to
be seated. The host, a female in her mid 30's, five foot five with long red
hair, explained the hold up. There had been a spill of drinks and they were
trying to clean up the area of six tables. When we were finally seated our
waiter came right over in less than thirty seconds. He was able to take our
order for drinks and return within a minute. He never needed up to repeat
our orders. He placed our drinks correctly without having to second guess
himself. He was able to make suggestions without being pushy. He visited
our table often enough without intruding on our evening. He visited three
times throughout the meal. He was a young man in his late twenties with
short black hair. His uniform was cleaned and pressed with a name tag. He
made sure we felt welcomed and went out of his way to make the evening
nice. We watched as he treated each table the same and never lost a beat
throughout the evening.
Candidates qualities:
I became interested working as a mystery shopper after noticing that my
suggestions and complaints never went past the manager on duty. Time after
time you can receive bad service and it doesn’t change. Just as you can
receive great service, the correct people don’t seem to get any of the
credit. Working in the freelance world, you need to meet your client’s
needs in a timely manner. I speak two languages and have working knowledge
of a third. I’m capable of multi-tasking. I am a reliable, detail-oriented
person with my own transportation. I complete each job professionally along
with being professionally dressed.

Best/Worst Customer Service:
I was in a retail clothing store in a weekday afternoon to purchase a new
dress for a very formal gathering after giving birth to my baby son. There
was one sales associate (sales associate 1) in the front of the store
waiting to great me and another (sales associate 2) in the back arranging
some clothing on one of the display tables. The sales associate 1 greeted
me and my son with casual conversation. She offered her help in finding a
dress best fit for a formal business gathering. She suggested a few dresses
for me to look at and left me to myself to browse the store and compare
items. In this time she assisted another customer that had just walked in
the store. After a few minutes had past the sales associate 1 offered to
open up one of the fitting rooms as she saw me waiting by the fitting room
entrance. Sales associate 1 dropped in twice while I tried on my dresses in
a very roomy and tidy changing room, to check if I needed to be fitted in
another size. When I had made my decision for purchase t

Best/Worst Customer Service
My best customer experience ever was when I went shopping for a dress to wedding. Upon walking in the store, I was feel very bad about myself...a little overweight and wasn't looking forward to trying dresses on. Immediately after I walked into the store, I was greeted by a very nice associate. She stuck with me until I found the best dress ever! My miserable did a turn for the better and I had a smile on my face for the rest of the day. I wouldn't have even tried on the dress I ended up purchasing if the associate hadn't showed it to me and insist that it would look great on me.
Candidates qualities
I am a good candidate as a mystery shopper because not only have I had experience mystery shopping, but I have also been on the other end of the spectrum. I have been in retail management and because of this, I understand how important mystery shoppers are to the industry and how important it is they give accurate descriptions. I am very honest and trustoworthy. I have had to hire employees in the past and because of this, I am an excellent judge in character.

Best/Worst Customer Service
I have worked in retail on and off for about 8 years. I have plenty of examples but instead of listing off my favorites i will attempt to summarize. My favorite thing about customer service is that my favorite experiences can be described as both my best and worst. On more than one occasion (at different locations), i have had issues with irate customers that have ended in them walking away with a smile. As in my current job, i work in a rental store so that occassionally employees miss a movie or two upon checkin time. This causes the movie to appear late on a customers account and, if enough time passes, the movie will be automatically checked in and simultaneously sold to the customer's credit card. The customer will come in complaining about automated phone messages or post cards, or the unexpected charge on their credit card, or sometimes they wont know about it until the next time they rent (which has happened where months have passed between the auto-checkin and the subsequent visit). The customer is angry and might feel like they've been swindled or that i am incompetent and don't know how to do my job (which i have been told by a few excited customers). In this occasion what i do is immediately apologize on behalf of the staff and explain that we have a system to counterract this common mistake but that occasionally mistakes do happen. I proceede by removing the charge from the account and, if they seem particularyly perturbed, offer them a free rental. In conclusion, I offer advice (e.g. bring movie into store and make sure an employee checks it in in front of you instead of dropping it in the box) so that they can be sure that they will never have to worry about the rare possiblity of this happening to them again. Situations like this are rough because the customer is angry and ready to complain, but i am able to utilize my knowledge of the computer system and physically show the customer my desire to help him/her (by going out onto the floor to look for the movie) and in the end completely diffuse a potentially volotile situation by restoring an angry customer into a happy but more informed customer.
Candidates qualities
Throughout my working life (spanning from age 15 to my current age of 23), i have had a myriad of job descriptions. I have been a lifeguard, a manager of a small retail store, a waiter, a stock person, a customer service representative, a sandwich maker, a barista, and a painter. I have worked in branches of a few corporations, and i have worked in small business operations. In addition, i have been studying psychology and merchandising at the University for 4 years now. Over the years i have gathered knowledge about company policy as well as honed my ability to observe and analyze (one of my favorite things to do, actually!). I beleive my diverse working background well prepares me, more than most people, to be an informed and observant Myster Shopper.

Customer service is a strong backbone of mine. We have very hard to deal with customers, mostly trying to come in to return merchandise. I am always friendly and outgoing and give 100% to them. I believe the customer is always right.
