My worst customer service experience was when I went to a retail store,
asked the clerk about a product and they were absolutely dumbfounded. He
didn't know his products or any answers. I had to do my own research!! I
never shopped in that establishment again.

My best customer service experience will be when I was working at Magic
Kingdom in the Walt Disney World I had assist this family with a problem
they had from the day before. The family brought the only grandson to see
Mickey Mouse for the first time. He was very excited to see him but
unfortunately the mouse had to go. So he did not see him that day. When the
family came back on there last day in orlando they told me their story. So I
took the family ahead of the line to see Mickey Mouse and even gave them ten
minutes along with him. I loved the expression on this kid face when he
walked in and saw Mickey Mouse. He talked to Mickey like they been friends
forever. The family enjoy that so much that they wanted to give me a tip but
I refused. I told them that just by seeing their grandson face made me feel
like I really brought magic to them.

locations. I also like helping people. I feel that if I could help a company
improve customer service or production in their company then this will be

For a period of time I found myself eating at one particular "Subway"
sandwich shop almost daily. It seems that the one employee, who inevitably
was working every time I was there, felt that it was unfair that they should
actually have to work for a living, and it showed in their customer
service. Each time I approached the counter a battle of wills began, I
would wait until they asked me every possible question the needed to in
order to build me my ultimate sandwich. Eventually this person asked my why
I made them do this everytime I came in, so I told them all they needed to
do was greet me nicely and I would make my order much easier. They smiled
and welcomed me from then on. This, I'm sure is not my worst customer
service experience, but it has stuck with me as one of my greatest customer
service triumphs.

I have been working in the resort / hospitality industry since 1984, I have
worked for such companies as: Walt Disney World Company, The Hyatt Hotel
Corporation, Circus Circus, and KSL Recreation. Each of these companies are
customer service driven, so they all have strong focus' on guest service,

SCANNER SO I ASKED THE ATTENDEE IF SHE WOULD HELP ME. SHE ROLLED HER EYES
AND SAID WHEN SHE FINISHED SHE WOULD HELP ME. THEN SHE PROCEEDED TO INSTRUCT

I have the worst experience with the company that sells stamps. I order
stamps by internet I never received it and when I called to ask they told me
that they send me a software and if I didn't used it, is my problem. I paid
4 months for the software that I never received and I have to call three

Recently, I had a disappointing experience at a local department store.
While browsing the store, I noticed that there were no employees wandering
around helping cutomers or even stocking shelves for that matter. I spent
approximately, 1.5 hours in the store and was never greeted or asked if I
could be helped. There were 3 check out lines open with hardly any customers
so I was please not to have to stand in line. As the cashier was ringing in
my items, another employee, named Jo, was standing around at the cash
register, I assume she was supposed to be bagging. This employee was
complaining that she wanted to go home. As my last item was scanned and my
total was calculating, the electricity went out in the entire store. The
registers must have been on a back up devise as they stayed on and I was
able to get my total. Jo then sighed and said "Maybe they will send us
home!" The cashier gave me my total and I wrote out a check. He then
attempted to put the check through many times, but without power, th

Went to a very expensive upscale restaurant on the Water Way . Had 12 guests with me and we had reservations. They seated us within minutes, and took our drin and dinner order. But after 1 hour and numerous drinks no dinner was served. finally weh I asked for the manager I was told that they had a problem in the kitchen and that all drinks were on the house and dinner would be out soon. Dinner never arrived for another 2 hours and all my guests were not feeling much pain. After several complaints by myself dinner arrived and things got better. At the end of the night the Manager offered to pay iour Dinner and Drink tab. It exceeded 500.00. The deal was that we had to take care of the waitress. We did and it all turned out fine.

My best customer service experience was when I was working for PG&E handling customer complaints during a furnace replacement project. An elderly lady had slipped thru the cracks and her furnace had not yet been replaced, winter was starting. I was able to empathize with her,cheer her up and get the ball rolling on an emergency replacement for her. She was very happy and sent a letter to my manager.
My worst ever customer service experience was also associated with the same project. A man called up and was verbally abusive, cursing alot. I told him that I would be glad to see if I could expedite his case. He still continued cursing and I told him I was happy to listen to whatever he said, but as I was not being paid to listen to cursing, he would have to first send me a $5 check for each curse he wanted to throw at me, then he could call me back and curse until his allotment ran out. He laughed, told me I was a clever girl and was more polite after that.

The best coustomer service experience I have had was at Outback Steak House a few months ago. The waitress was extremely nice. She had a smile on her face at all times and seemed to be sincere about really wanting to take care of her costomers. Our glasses were always kept full and our order came out just the way we wanted. The waitress came back and checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything else. It was a great atmosphere and the dinner was great. I will go back many times.

My most recent customer service nightmare "there have been many" has been with my local phone company.
Over the past two years I have devorced, sold a home-built a new home and re-married. (WOW have I been busy.
During this time the phone company was forwarding my bill to my x-husband, but I owned and lived in the house.I spent several hours a day on hold, calling back, requesting forms and information on how to have my bill put in my name and re-sent to the correct address-where the phone was actually located, without having to pay a re-connection fee. It would take me 45minutes to an hour just to convince the phone company they could speak to me about the account---even thou I was calling from the phone number of the account where the phone was located. My x-husband and I also made several (more than 4) three way calls to the phone company and he would verbally give them permission to put the phone in my name and correct the billing issue. BLA BLA BLA---The story goes on and on for months (at least 4-5 Months) The company would promise and confirm that the issue would be taken corrected. That never happened--They never had accurate notes of previouse conversations and updates on the problem. What a NIGHTMARE!! In the end, they wore me down and I paid a 75$$ re-connection fee to have the phone put in my name at the same house, same number ect.

My worst customer service experience was a month ago at a local restaurant, Friday's. There were five adults and two children. We arrived at the restaurant fairly early knowing there wouldn't be the average rush a restaurant would have. Needless to say, we waited patiently for our server to come to place our drink orders, which took him 10 minutes to greet us. We finally received our drinks. We then placed our orders and waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our food to arrive. The children (who are no older than 2) were crying because they were hungry and when their food did come out, it was cold and in editable. There was the usual manager on duty and was standing next to our table the whole time talking/joking with his staff. I was so amazed with this disaster that I had to ask him to come to the table. I have been in the restaurant industry for 2 years along with our friend who has been in the industry for 10. I knew what customer service should and should not be. Needless to say, we had a pleasant discussion and matters were solved. This in fact made me want to become a Mystery Shopper.

Best/Worst Customer Service
Recently, I visited a restaurant. The ambience was inviting and friendly. We were welcomed to the restaurant and seated in a few minutes.
Then the waiter showed up, welcomed us and told us extensively about the menu. The food was hot and tasted delicious. I tasted all the seasonings and fresh vegetables. All drinks were served cold.
The server made multiple checkbacks and answered all questions. Refills were done without asking. At the end of the meal he cleared away the dishes and asked how was dinner.
Then the manager also stopped by and asked how was dinner. What I liked about the restaurant is that everyone seemed friendly and courteous. The restroom was clean. The manager seemed to care about the customers.

I went to purchase a new cell phone, with my service. I went into the store and the sales people did not even come over to me or ask if I needed help. I had to interrupt their very important conversation on what they were doing over the weekend. Then they said that they had to check my credit and that I would probably have to pay a deposit. I told them I already had service with them, that I just wanted to upgrade my old phone, they laughed and said they still needed to check my credit. I was wearing shorts and a tie dye t-shirt I think. Then they asked for my phone number which I gave it to them, then they told me that they don't need to check it and that I would qualify for a rebate for the phone to receive it free, and I could bill it to my account.

I had a very positive experience in J C Penny. I was greeted by a friendly sales lady, who helped me with all of my inquiries. She suggested accessories, which I purchased and then organised for my goods to go to pick up as they were heavy. I will be returning to this store if I need any more furnishings

In 1997 I purchased a DVD/Laserdisc combo player with extended warranty from BrnadsmartUSA at Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise, Florida. Approximately 6 weeks after the purchase, the player stopped working. I brought the machine back to Brandsmart for service. After having the machine 4 weeks, I contacted Brandsmart to find out the status of the service. I was informed that the problem with this machine was not covered by the warranty. I immediately spoke to the salesman who had sold me the machine and inquired why this particular problem was not covered. He refused to answer my question, saying it was not his problem. I then spoke to the manager who informed me there was nothing he could do. This was a $1000 DVD player and I was not about to let go of this issue. I contacted Brandsmarts corporate offices and told them about the issues I was having. They promised to work with me on it. After 4 weeks of back and forth and letter writing, they blew me off and told me to take it up with Pioneer the manufacturer of the player. Upon calling Pioneer, I spoke to two separate people, was immediately told where to bring the player for service, and had it fixed in less than a week. Needless to say I have never shopped at Brandsmart again and have vehemently told others of their customer service record.

I do not think the customer is "always right," I know that I have not been at certain times, but I can see when things are being done in the corporate way, and when things are being done in the way that will please the customer most. Large corporations mostly choose the former, while smaller businesses try and develop relationships with customers and choose the latter. I have a good grasp of language and picking up on things others might not. When a project is due, I am very quick to finish it and turn it in.

I had to take my ex-husbands uniforms into the dry cleaners to get altered and cleaned, the attendent told me that I would have to take them elsewhere to be altered due to and illness with their seamstressed. I was concerned about the time frame that I had due to a deadline I had..The attendent asured me that if I brought the uniforms back in on Friday they would be ready for a Saturday pick up...So off to the seamstress down the street, when I told her that I had to have them back down at the cleaners on Friday..She said not a problem to pick up on Thursday or Friday AM, I picked them up first thing on Friday and to the cleaners I went and when I got there she said they would be ready on Monday,, Oh wait a minute, back up, I said and I reminded her of what she had told me and she denied it...well long story short..The uniforms was ready the next morning...

I have recently read a book, Raving Fans written by Kenneth Blanchard. It spells out exactly what a company needs for their employees, and why it is soo very important. After reading this book a few past customer service situations began to come to mind in a different way than ever before.
The Worst Experience: I was having dinner out with my grandmother and a business associate one evening. I dont usually have a problem with the particuar restaurant we were going to, but this time it was horrible. We waited 50 minutes for the food to be prepared. Only once in that 50 minutes did we see our waiter, when we did he didn't even get the drink refills that we asked for. My personality doesnt allow for that type of service, so I asked to speak to the manager. The manager paid for our meal. Personaly I would have rather had good service in the first place than the free meal. Unfortunatly it does not end here. Upon leaving the restaurant our waiter stands infront of us bows and in an extremely sarcastic manner says to my grandmother "Madaam, it has been the grandest pleasure serving you this fine evening!"
The Best Experience: I recall one time I made a phone call to the customer service office for my particular computer. I was clueless as to what I needed to do to fix this problem I had at the time. When I called the representative treated me like I was the Pope himself. Every answer I got was "yes sir" "no sir". Evidentally the problem I had with my computer was a rather difficult, it took some time to work threw. The representative was patient with my cluelessness, and worked threw slowly but surely. The problem was finaly solved. I appreciate the education I recieved on my computer. The representative did not just show me how to fix the problem, he showed me how to take better care of certain issues in the future. He cared. I am sold out to that kind of customer service.

Ironically, the reason I'm submitting this application is because of a negative customer service experience that turned into a positive event. A resturant from a national chain recently opened their doors in our neighborhood. I anxiously visited this location for lunch today and was terribly disappointed from the visit. From the instant I sat at my table, the staff (although new)seemed overwhelmed with the task of taking my order and delivering my meal. As I beginning to leave the restaurant (possibly forever) a member of the management staff approached my table and simply stated the obvious - his customers deserve better. He refunded the bill I paid and personally invited me back to the establishment in the next few days to review the improvement. Note - I've worked on the other side of the bar in college and directly on the retail sales floor for years. I can appreciate the effort and organizational skills it takes to be successful in the customer service industry. I can further respect a manager that can evaluate his staff's performance and meet the challenge head-on. I will return to the resturant this weekend...

Visited a computer sales company and only one employee on duty, was there to purchase
computer clasees ans training, the emplyee was not at all knowledgeble of what his company
had to offer and his english was very limited, and when he did speak had a very heavy
accent. Was very terse and seemed in a hurry to get us out of the store so he could answer his cell
phone.
