While shopping at the local grocery store the other night, there was a pallet of strawberries on the floor in a display with no price on it.  I found a clerk, Jim, working in the produce department and asked him what the price was.  He looked at me and without smiling or saying anything, he walked over toward the strawberries.  On his way, he saw some in the bunk on the counter, pointed to them and said, "$1.98, see the price is marked right here, all you had to do was look a little bit," then walked off.  He didn't put a price on the dispaly or even go over to it to see of the price had fallen, he just went back to what he was doing.

Candidates qualities:

I worked for Wal-Mart for seven years, so I know what an employee should behave like, what is acceptable and what is not.  With my experience I also pay close attention to detail in stores and restaurants, I see beyond the superficial to behind the scenes.

My best customer service experience is when I go to any business and they know me by my name or what I need from them.

My worst customer service experiences have always revolved around indifference. Without many details, it is the lack of detail and the willingness to go the next step or as the cliche goes "the extra mile".

Candidates qualities:

I have always prided myself on my customer service and making a customer feel like they have just been treated to an experience like no other. Whether it has to do with a dining experience or a major service transaction, the customer must feel like they have received their money's worth or they WILL go elsewhere. I have studied and trained through my employers and my years of experience on what to do as well as what "not" to do in almost any service situation. My experience is very valuable to me and I believe it would be valuable to anyone that wishes to utilize my services to gain knowledge on how their team is doing.

Our favorite restaurant is the Shilo Inn Restaurant.  I think the reason is because my husband and I enjoyed our best dining experiences here.  We received terrific service from our server.  All of the the employees we came into contact with were very polite and seemed to geniunely enjoy serving others.  We were extremely impressed with the service speed and food delivery.  The atmosphere of the restaurant was very comfortable and romantic.  They had a live pianist perform during our dinner.  The music was very soft and pleasant.  Both entree's had excellent flavor and the portion sizes of both exceed our expectation.  We had an awesome experience.

I've been employed as a teacher for a little over 6 year, therefore,  I've been trained to communicate through writing and person to person.  I love to shop and enjoy meeting new people, which I think is a perfect combination for a mystery shopper.  My hours are very flexible, since I decided to stay home with my baby.

Best/Worst Customer Service

When I walked into the store, the clerk met me with a friendly greeting which made me feel welcome. As I continued to browse in the clothing department, she came to me and asked if she could help me find anything. I told her that I was just looking. After I had found an item and was continuing to shop, she came to me,took the item, andput it in a fitting room so I could continue to shop. After looking for a few minutes, she showed me to the fitting room where she had put my garment. When I came out and started toward the cashier's counter, she asked me how I would like to pay for the item. After she finished the transaction, she told me to have a nice day and come back. My shopping trip was a delightful time because this associate seemed so caring and made me feel so good about my shopping experience.

I went grocery shopping and was ready to check out. The clerk greeted me and began processing my groceries. I noticed that she made a mistake on my items. When I pointed it out, her demeaner changed immediately and she grimaced as she jerked out the receipt and began to check it over again. She was obviously upset with me. After repeated the questionable transaction, she found that I had been correct about the error. She never apologized but went right on. I tried to calm her by expressing my regret about her having to do so much figuring for me, but that didn't help either. When I left, I felt like never returning to that store again.

I love to shop and enjoy good customer service. I feel that I could give some beneficial feedback to the clients for whom I am shopping. I am people- oriented and like to interact which gives opportunity for proper assessment.

Best/Worst Customer Service

I was checking out my groceries at the grocery store. The clerk greeted me and began processing my groceries. About halfway through my order I noticed a mistake she made and pointed it out. Her demeaner suddenly changed and she grimaced fiercely as she jerked the receipt out of the register. She snorted and began to figure my totals again. To her amazement and shock, she discovered that she had indeed made an error. She quickly completed the transaction without appologizing. I left the store thinking to myself that I never wanted to go back to that store again.

I find it relaxing to shop. I am people-oriented and enjoy good rapport with those around me. I believe I could give beneficial information to those for whom I am shopping. Customer service is extremly important and programs such as this help in giving feedback so the associates may be encouraged to make some neccessary improvements. I enjoy knowing that some employees may be rewarded for excelling in their positions.
