The worst experience I have ever had would not be the time I went to the
local Popeye's. I decided to order my food by drive-thru, and as my car
rolled over the sensor to alert the drive-thru operator of a customer I was
greeted by, "POPEYE'S!". I was startled to no end as the woman YELLED at me
in a nasty snarl. Not "welcome to popeye's" or "how can I take your
order?", just flat out the name of the establishment which I was already
quite aware of. I then tried to give her my order, because I was under the
impression that that was the next step. It was impossible to get my combo
order out, because she would cut me off and interupt me everytime I said
something. It's one thing to prompt a customer that is not sure of what
he/she would like, but I knew exactly what I wanted and would have told her
everything she asked me if she would have just listened to me instead of
blatantly assuming I was stupid and had never been to Popeye's before. When
I finally got to the window I was not greeted by the attend
Candidates qualities:
I am a good candidate to be a mystery shopper because I have worked in the
retail business for about 7 years. I have experienced mystery shoppers
coming to the establishments I have worked at and know what they look for,
and know how they expect and should be treated. A mystery shopper is a very
important part of a business because it allows managers and owners to see
how they're employees perform without supervision most of the time.

Just this past week, I went to the mall to buy a new outfit for myself. I
went into Sears first. No one asked me if I needed help even though I was
there for at least 15 minutes looking through the clothes racks. I saw three
different employees while searching for something and not one offered to
help. i left there and went to Dilliard's. It was the same thing there. This
time I even looked around for someone to help me but the two employees I
tried to approach were so engrossed in talking to each other, I don't even
know if they saw me. I then went to New York & CO. When I walked in this
store, I wasn't even there a minute before one of the girls asked if they
could help me with anything. Finally, I found a place where I wasn't
invisible. I made my purchase at NY & Co. because she was able to help me
find what I was looking for, but at the other two stores, I got aggravated
because I really didn't know where to look. And Dilliard's was unpleasantly
hot.
Candidates qualities:
I believe I would be a good mystery shopper, because I pay attention to
details.

One of the best experiences that I have had was when I needed to buy flower
girl dresses for my three girls. Their ages are ten, six and two and are
hard to shop for. I visited a local children's boutique to search for the
dresses. I fully expected that this would be the first stop of many. Much
to my suprise, the sales representative immediately assessed what I was
looking for, the girl's sizes, and the girl's personal preferences. Within
twenty minutes, all three girls had the perfect dresses. WOW! What a
terrific salesperson! I will definetly return to this store for any
clothing needs that my children have and recommend others as well.
Candidates qualities:

My Family and I went to eat at a local restaurant a few weeks back and had
a horrible experience. It took 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken,
10 more minutes to receive the drinks. Our food took 30 minutes to arrive,
it was cold. our server(Sara) checked on us a total of two times to refill
our drinks. We asked for Steak Sauce, it didn't arrive for 15 minutes. It
was a very unpleasant experience.

My worst was when a sales associate, at a major retail chain, jerked the
credit card "pen" away from me when the pen would not work. She treated me
as if I were a child that didn't know what to do. This not only took me by
surprise but embarassed me greatly. I said my thanks (the sales associate
did not) with a smile on my face and went directly to the shift
supervisor/manager for the store.
The next time was when I had decided to take a day off from the makeup
routine! I walked into a named brand furniture store and walked around
looking for a new sofa. After 30 minutes of being in the store and no
service from a sales associate I proceeded to walk out. At the front of the
store were all six associates sitting up front. One asked then as I was
walking out, could she help me, at this point I was upset and angry because
I didn't "fit the mould" to be in the store. I politely smiled and stated
that I was looking at the sofas and found one that was of interest to me but
I was never approached by a sales assoicate, therefore if I am not important
enough to be approached or helped after 30 minutes then my business needs to
be done elsewhere, I left while all the sales associates stood there with a
shocked look on their faces. The best customer services was at the next
furniture store where I actually bought my sofa. The sales person was very
patient and helpful, even helped me to pick out app
Candidates qualities:
I have been on both sides of the counter, I have been the sales person and I
have been the customer. The old term the customer is always right still
remain true for me. Even if the customer is not right, make them feel like
they are. It will only anger them if you treat them any differently. Also,
I see products or display that catch my eye, I will go to it or even try
it. I love to shop, having four kids means I need a bargin, I need
convenience and I need service. I am one to keep a level head and to keep
my thoughts clear when making judgement or decisions about a product,
company or service.

Best/Worst Customer Service:
I entered the location and was warmly greeted immediately by Brittney. She
immediately asked if she could help me. I told her I was just looking.
After a few minutes, she re-approached me and asked if I was looking for
something specific. I told her I wished to look at some sectional sofas.
She took me to the living area showroom where they were located. Brittney,
was very attentive to me and listened to what I was looking for in a sofa.
As she waited on me, she would also greet any customer that came into the
location in a warm and welcoming manner. I asked Brittney for a card. I
told her I wished to think about the purchase. She gave me her card and
told me that any associate could help me when I came back in and to just
mention or show the card to the associate. I thanked her for her time and
she wished me a good evening and immediately gave her attention to other
customers.
There were five other customers in the store when I first arrived. Four
more customers came into the location during my visit. The showrooms were
well maintained, clean and free of clutter. The sales floor (where the
entrance id located) was clean and free of debris. Current sales catalogs
were located on a table, near the entrance.
Credit applications were available on various tables throughout the store.
They were also available at the customer service desk. All the merchandise
was organized and well grouped. The lighting was at a very comfortable
level, and inviting. Brittney was very efficient and professional
throughout my visit. She made me feel comfortable shopping at this
location, and I would certainly make a purchase from her at this location in
the future.
Candidates qualities:
I am objective, detail oriented, and professional. I have the ability to
retain, massive amounts of information. I am dependable, and hard working. I
would make a perfect mystery shopper for any company.

My best customer expirence was at Applebee's in Kenner. Our waitress was excellent. She was very attented to our table as well as her other tables. My boyfriend and I never had an empty drink. My boyfriend drinks a lot of tea. Our plates were cleared off as soon as we were done. She always had a smile on her face and a great personality. The manager there was very nice as well. He greeted us as we entered and told us to have a great night as we left.
Candidates qualities
I have been a waitress for three years. I know what waitresses are supposed to do and what they are not. At our store, we also have mystery shoppers. I know what they look for so I believe I would be good for the job. I know how the managers are supposed to act, whether or not the place is clean, if the food taste good, did anyone greet you other than your waitress, etc.

Best/Worst Customer Service
I recently performed a secret shop in which I was required to visit the store's customer service desk and inquire about the store's savings card program. I approached the booth and stood there for over 3 minutes without being acknowledged or looked at by any of the three associates who were working the booth. They were engaged in business conversation, however they were supposed to at least acknowledge my presence and tell me they would be with me shortly. I left the service desk area and came back around 2 minutes later and the same situation occurred with me being ignored. Finally, I spoke up and asked the associates if someone could help me apply for a store savings card and one of the associates huffed under her breath and rolled her eyes at me. This was by far the worse "customer service" experience I've had in a long time.
Candidates qualities
I am a well presented person who enjoys challenges and meeting new people. I speak well to individuals that I do not know and do not mind asking questions to strangers. I like shopping and getting out and trying new things. Secret shopping is especially exciting to me because most of the places that I shop are places where I would need to visit for my own individual needs so the value is two-fold to me and my family! I take the opportunities to do the shops seriously as I know they affect the individuals that are reported and the stores that employ the shoppers to achieve their goals in achieving excellent customer service and store quality.

Best/Worst Customer Service
The best customer service experience I had was at China Orchid. It is a Chinese Food Restaurant in New Orleans, LA. This restaurant is very popular during lunch hours on the weekdays. When you walk into the restaurant, you are immediately greated and seated very quickly. The person that seats customers at tables will normally be their waitress so drink orders are taken very quickly. The food is brought out within a reasonable amount of time and drinks are refilled promptly. I enjoy going to this restaurant for lunch because the service is quick, friendly, and effecient.
Candidates qualities
While finishing college, I worked for a restaurant who used mystery shoppers. Knowing in the back of my mind that any customer could be a mystery shopper, I devoted my "10 steps of good service" to my job. I feel that I would be a good candidate because I know exactly what is expected of the shopper and shoppee. I gained respect for the mystery shopping profession because I know that I performed at my best on my job because I could be waiting on a shopper at anytime.

Best/Worst Customer Service
I have been a shopper just like everyone else my whole life. Through the years I have had many memorable shopping trips. I recieved the best customer service ever from a employee at Lowe's in Slidelle, Louisiana. She went out of her way to keep me happy after a special order I had been waiting for was not ordered correctly. She was so helpful I waited for what I had orginally ordered and then purchased the merchandise for another room in my home.
Candidates qualities
I have worked in the retail field for many years. I was employed by Sears, Gap, KMart, OLd Navy. I know the type of service that we trained our associates to give to our customers. I also demand that same type of service when I shop. I have had many pleasant shopping experiences, too mant to list. But, the unfavorable ones are the one you don't forget, and the ones you rarely return to.

Best/Worst Customer Service
Erica smiled slightly as we approached the counter. She softly said, “Can I
help you?” When a catfish plate was ordered, Erica stated that “It comes with
fries and coleslaw as sides. Is that okay, or would you like to change them?”
At this time, Kittie came over and stood next to Erica. They waited silently as
we looked at the menu board again. Neither suggested the all you can eat ribs
or any other item. When the ribs were ordered, Erica again asked “which sides?”
but did not mention additional items. Erica placed the cold sides on the ledge
immediately. She then turned and walked to the cook, speaking to him quietly.
Kittie whisked the order ticket away and said calmly, “Slide your tray all the
way down to the end. What would you like to drink?” She properly served the
water and began to ring up the order. Dessert was not mentioned. Kittie’s tone
was pleasant as she quoted the total and processed the credit card. She turned
to yell, “I need a ribs” into the kitchen. As I signed the receipt, she placed
a ticket and a number on the tray. She thanked me and added, “You can wait
right here for your ribs, everything else will be brought to your table.”
One and a half minutes after choosing a table, we were greeted by a busboy who
said enthusiastically, “Hi! Just let us know if you need anything. Did you get
all your food? Are you waiting for any items?” He went to check on the missing
items. He checked on us again at the end of the meal.
In two minutes, a female server brought out the onion loaf. The same server
also brought the catfish plate after another three minutes. She set the plates
down quickly and spirited away, leaving the empty tray and number on the table.
During the meal, most of the kitchen workers and the manager periodically sat to
watch football on television in the dining room. They were very interested in
the game. There was only one other party in the restaurant. The rolled
silverware was clean but did not include a spoon. Wet naps had been in a bowl
near the ordering station, available to anyone. There was one dirty table when
we arrived. It was cleaned before we sat down. All tables appeared neat and
orderly. Ours was not prebussed throughout the meal and used dishes had piled
up. Unsure of how to obtain a second serving of ribs, I asked Kittie at the
cashier station. She brought them two minutes later.
The ribs were warm, tender and flavorful. The catfish was lightly fried and
moist. Fries were hot and crisp. The onion loaf was deliciously browned and
thinly sliced. The potato salad was creamy and chunky at the same time. It
tasted great. The side salad was fresh and cold. The coleslaw was fresh and
crisp. The cornbread was slightly dry but tasted good. Most of the items on
the fixins bar were fresh, clean and plentiful. The lettuce, however, had been
reduced to a few brown shreds at the bottom of the pan. It was not changed or
filled in the time we were there. The sliced bread was impressively fresh and
soft.
The exterior was immaculately kept and made a welcoming impression. The
entrance doors hosted many fingerprints. The lobby was clean. In the dining
area, there were scraps of paper under four different tables. One dirty table
was cleaned by the time we sat down. The restroom was well stocked. A nicely
scented air freshener highlighted its cleanliness.
I was greeted in 27 seconds at the drive through by a pleasant voice saying,
“Welcome to (store name), What would you like?” My order was repeated and I was
instructed to drive up to the window. The female associate had no nametag. She
quoted the total without suggesting additional items. As she processed the
credit card and called out the order a male voice yelled out, “That’s it! I
missed that play! The next customer- we’re gonna fight!” He was clearly angry
about being interrupted during the football game. The attendant’s face became
flushed as she dropped the credit card receipts and muttered, “I swear to God.
This stupid sh*t.” Her comment was directed at the cash register itself but was
clearly audible form my distance. She maintained a pleasant tone when she spoke
directly to me, handing over the order and saying, “Thank you.” I was not
invited to return.
