Best/Worst Customer Service:
My best customer experience was with an elderly lady at my store. She
drastically needed an item we were out of. I was able to track down the item
at another store, drove a few miles to purchase the item for her and then
delivered it to her home. She was ecstatic, and I retained a valued customer.
Candidates qualities:
I am very conscientious and enjoy my work. I am reliable, show attention to
detail, and having been in retail for over 30 years, I know the value of
allowing management to know whats going on in their company.

One of the Movie Gallery stores I visited once was outstanding. The store was very well lit from the outside and inside. There were no movies on the counter, the associates were extremely friendly and helpful, they greeted me on the way in, made eye contact and offered help before I could ask. All the shelfs were neatly organized and clean of dust, the carpet was clean and the bathroom was tidy. There were three customers in line and it took the two cashiers less than ten minutes to help us all. The cashier introduced himself and offered promotions and upcoming videos. The promotion merchandises were near the entrance, easy to spot. The parking lot was well lit and free of debris.
I am an experienced mystery shopper and although I am not yet certified by MSPA I have already been working for companies such JM Ridgway, Shop'n Check, Sutter Performance AuditSystems Inc., Customer Perspectives, RoperNop and National Shopping Service. I have reliable transportation, have a very positive attitude, a flexible schedule and I am responsible, observant, detail-oriented and punctual. I also enjoy shopping very much.

It was last January, I went into a department store to look for some new sneakers. I found a pair which interested me, however the clerk was busy talking to some of his friends and when I asked for help, told me to wait a minute. I waited and waited until finally he decided to ask what i wanted, he didnt ask in a polite way either. I requested the size 11.5 shoe, and he was so kind as to come back with it. The shoe didnt fit so i tried the 12, he gave me a disgusted look upon returning with them. I tried on the shoes they didnt seem like a good match for me, so I started to leave. On my way out of the shoe section I thanked him for his help, he however did not return the common kindness you would expect from a salesman but yet muttered something under his breath. I took time to look back and see that instead of getting back to work, and helping other customers he immediatley started talking with his friends again. Since that day i have not set foot in that store.
I am a good canidate to be a secret shopper, because for two years I worked as a cashier at a restuarant where i had to deal with, all sorts of people. I feel that I was very good with customers and thus I understand what is needed for someone to do a high quality job. I am also very quick to think things out and very perceptive. I pick up on things that most people would not, I use these skills to achieve my goals in school. I am however not yet a high school graduate. I graduate June 11, 2004 and will be attending Boston University in the fall. I am looking for an enjoyable summer job. I feel that as a secret shopper I will bring a whole different mindset to the table, that of a responsible young adult.

The worst customer service I have received would have to be at the Olive Garden Restaurant. The waitress was very rude and did not ask for our orders for atleast thirty minutes. She did not even apologize for taking so long. I have not been there since.
I am a very easy going person. I am a very understanding person. I also feel that I am a very good observer. Lastly, I am very flexible with my time schedule. So I can a shop in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

At age 45 I can't think of my best or worst EVER customer service experience. However, I can tell you about a very positive experience I recently had the pleasure to enjoy. One recent Friday afternoon I ordered a take-out meal from Romano's Macaroni Grill in South Portland, Maine. I ordered two salads, two loafs of bread, and two orders of their fantastic Penne Rustica. I was told the order would be ready in 15 minutes. Twenty minutes later I arrived at the restuarant...only to find that my order had somehow been misplaced. I didn't need this after the stressful week I had had! I did not express any verbal emotions to the employee who could not find my order (it wasn't her fault, after all!) Instead, I placed my order again and waited in the bar nursing an iced tea. Within a few minutes (before the tea was finished) the order was placed in my hand. The kind employee gave me much larger salads than one usually receives with take-out, issued a $20.00 gift certificate for the next time I visited, and also paid for the iced tea. You can believe that I'm still a loyal take-out customer from Romano's Macaroni Grill!
I believe I am an excellent candidate as a Mystery Shopper for three reasons. First, I love to shop -- especially for quality products at bargain prices. I also have an attention to detail -- my auditing training has never left me. Finally, I can complete a project before the deadline.
