I use to manage a clothing store called Simplys Fashion, and I had a very nice customer who was a plus size lady that could never find anything nice.  Well my store sold plus size and also full figured, she shopped there every week and she knew when we got our shipment and she would come and ask me to hold items for her. Because she was a very friendly and loyal customer I would hold her items for a week for her. She was so happy she told her friends and they to began to shop with her every week.  I enjoyed seeing her happy finding nice things that fitted her week after week.

I've had many of both best would be when I shopped at Lowe's- I don't know anything about house appliances and I got a lot of help finding everything on my list from more than one person....if they didn't know where something was they found someone who did. I was taken care of very well.

I love to shop, I know what people are supposed to be doing when it comes to customer service and helping customers- I was manager of a women's clothing store- I am very good at spotting the good and bad things in stores and not afraid to tell someone when something is not being done right.

     My best customer service experience occurred just before Christmas, when I entered a new clothing store which had just opened at the local mall. Though I was familiar with the company, I had not ever visited a retail location. Upon entering the store, I was greeted immediately by company personnel. The sore was well- lighted with recessed lighting that did not cause glare on the displays. All displays themselves were very well-organized, with styles clearly separated, and sizes prominently marked so that everything was easy to find.
     Though the sales staff was not obtrusive at all, they were pleasantly helpful, and offered more than once to assist me in finding correct sizes/ colors. While the store was very busy, I still was made to feel that I had personal attention, and I was also very conscious of the fact that the staff was making a visible effort to maintain the cleanliness and order of the store. At the time of my purchase, the salesperson made eye contact, smiled, and asked me if I had found everything I needed. I left the store having actually enjoyed my shopping experience, despite the Christmas crowds.

     I'm sure that all mystery shoppers claim to love shopping; however, not all people are observant of the details that make a retail establishment appear in either a favorable or unfavorable light. Having worked as an elementary and junior high school teacher, I have been trained to watch for the tiniest details that might impact a situation or a person. I also have stage and theater experience, and so am used to watching for the displays, or "sets" that convey a message to the public. Furthermore, my current job deals a majority of the time with the public, and so I am also well aware of the duty that staff people have to making each experience pleasant. These things combined give me several skills that not all people are able to use on a daily basis, but which have become second nature to me.

30 minute wait at mcdonald's for 2 breakfast sandwiches and i only recieved an apology i thought that was one of the worst cases i've had several from racism to diplorable conditions..

i'm a blackman 33 in america,i'm also muslim so i think for companies who say they're quote unquote not strictly for any particular group i'm idealistic for the position especially in rural areas where blacks don't tend to shop it'll give you a chance to really critique their service.   02-05

After buying sour milk from my local Schnucks Supermarket for the third time, I took the milk back to the store for a refund. The clerk at the counter could have cared less and seemed annoyed that I wanted to speak with the Manager. When the Manager came over, I told him that this was the third time I had bought sour milk there and that I had seen expired yogurt in the dairy case on other occasions. I also told him that I was no longer going to shop there. The only thing he had to say was that he was sorry and to go get a new gallon of milk. He did not even bother to take down my name for the Dairy Manager to contact me. I was very disappointed in the way it was handled. I then went down the street to Dierberg's to do my shopping and believe it or not, the first carton of milk I picked up had expired 3 days prior. I took it to the counter and the clerk said "Did you still want it?" Needless to say, that had to be my worst grocery shopping experience ever!

I feel I would be a good candidate as Mystery Shopper because of my background in Customer Service. In all the jobs I have held in the last 20 years, excellent customer service has always been my main priority. I have worked as a waitress and hostess in 2 different resaurants, a hair stylist in 2 salons, manager of a photography studio and as a travel agent. having bakgrounds in these fields seems to make me more aware of the type of service I recieve when I'm the customer. Being in the restaurant business makes me take note of the cleanliness of the dining room as well as the food preparation areas if visible.
I stay home with my 1 and 3 year olds now and have very flexible hours which enables me to be available at short notice for any opportunities that may come up.

I recently visited a McDonalds in Nixa, MO.  I was shocked at how attentive the employees were.  The food was good and the facilities were clean; but I was extremely impressed by the attitude of the employess.  They were extremely friendly and interested in making sure that we had everything that we needed.  One employee made several trips to our table (we were seated outside).  I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service that I received.

One of my worst experiences occurred at the Hyatt in Fort Worth.  I arrived at the Hyatt very late in the night.  When I got to my room I notice that the toilet was used and unflushed. I also noticed that the soap in the shower had been used.  It was so late that I was willing to ask for new soap and overlook the uncleanliness, until I pulled pack the covers and discovered body hair on the sheets.  I called the desked and asked for a new room.  They acted put out by this request. The only compensation that I received was free toiletries, as I moved my family to another floor at 1 AM.  This was definately not the level of service that I expected from the Hyatt.

I would be an exceptional candidate as a Mystery Shopper because I naturally evaluate businesses when I am out shopping or dining.   I find myself evaluated businesses, and thinking, "If I were the owner/manager I would or would not be happy with this situation.  I have been in leadership position for several types of businesses.  I have served a  small business owner/manager,  a trainer, a customer service manager, and a sales team leader.
