Best/Worst Customer Service:

The best service is at a restaurant in Watkins. Ecellent place. They care. Its clean and well lit. Parking lot is adequate. Rest rooms are clean and stocked.Work staff are all polite,accomodating and check with you often. Food is always very tasteful and properly prepared and floors are clean along with entire restaurant. The worst experience I encountered was at a clothing store running a sale that was confuseing. You had to be in the credit card club as I learned on attempted purchase. They announced my social security number to other customers and embarressed me! I was left standing at counter with sale items and feeling ill as everyone looked at me. Sale items were 30 dollars on sale and 60 dollars without use of card. This store called me because of the sale and forgot to mention that a card had to be used.The merchandice was outdated bargain bin anyway and eventually was sold on the sidewalk. They had no idea about my job title. No I do not shop there.

Best/Worst Customer Service:

Best customer service at a mall. Large amounts of people shop malls. I had bought something andhadno time to try it on. Itwas wrong size. I had lost recept. The sales person actually remembered me and my money was returned. I shop there often now.

Worst. At a store recently where everyone was noticed except me. I was trying for that though. I did make a purchase. I was not given a receipt. Sales associate gave receipt after I stood there digging through my shopping bag.

Candidates qualities:

At night and on weekend I have time to do shops. Frequently I am out there on myown shopping nearly everyday.
I have studied and know what to look for includeing store lighting and the parking lot. I have an eye for details and i abhor rudeness. Somewhat I believe the customer should be correct.  Also enjoy surveys and filling out forms. Talking to people and meeting people is no chore for me.

     I took my mother to a very fancy restaurant for her 75th birthday. We were almost finished with out meal when I noticed a roach on the wall behind her. Knowing the roach would upset her and ruin her day.
      I tried to keep her attention on me and my wife while I made an excuse to skip desert.
I got her out with out here seeing it. Thank god! It would have ruined her day.
       Needless to say I have not been back to that restaurant since.

My best customer service experience actually started out being my worst. I was meeting a new advertising client for the first time on the day her ad schedule was to begin. Unfortunately, on that particular day her ads did not get into the paper due to some production problems at the paper. She was understandably upset. I quickly contacted the head of production to see what we could do to save the situation. I was able to have her ads run the following day for free and she was given excellent positioning in the newspaper. She was very happy with me from then on and we maintained excellent relationship.

As a consumer i am always concerned with the level to customer service I receive in a store. I know I am much more likely to spend my money in places where I am made to feel that I am important and where i'm treated with courtesy and respect. When I'm shopping in store I am always observing what's going on around me and can spot instances where workers are not providing good customer service.

My worst customer service experience was this past Christmas Season. I went to a local discount clothing store in my neighborhood. Just before entering the store everyone must leave any packages at a bag check location, there is a clerk that takes your packages and gives you a claim tag. When I entered the store I noticed that there were so many packages in the bag check that some packages were on the floor beside the bag check desk, so I put my package beside some of the bags and waited for the clerk to give me my tag. He not only threw the tag at me but as I was walking away to go further into the store I heard him yelling at me to come back and hand him my package off the floor. I was so embarrassed, everyone was looking at me. I was also angry because not only had he thrown the tag at me but now he was yelling. I went over took my package, handed him my tag and told him that I did not appreciate the way he treated me, especially since I was there to shop. I walked out, very upset but then I said to myself, "why should I have to leave a store that I liked shopping in because of an individual that was clearly being disrespectful. I went back into the store and asked for the manager, I explained to him how his clerk had treated me and that I was a regular customer at his store and that if his employees treated good customers this way then he would end up losing allot of business. He apologized to me asked to take my package and promised it would not happen again, he then went over to the clerk and they both left together somewhere into the store. Needless to say, I've been in there a few times since the incident and have not had another problem.

I firmly believe that customer service is an essential part of every business, from low end retail to very high end retail. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect. I also believe that employers have the responsiblity to properly train their employees on proper ettiquet and customer service. As a customer I would not return to locations where the customer service is poor, as a mystery shopper I believe I could provide employers with the tool they need to better analyze any weaknesses in customer service techniques their employees may have, as well as letting them know when their employees excel in service.

Best/Worst Customer Service

I was shopping at a discount store and when looking around i noticed dirty shelves and workers who were not in proper uniform. When i asked about a certqin item I was looking for the employees were no where to be found and was ignored by other employees, although they were not in the area I was shopping in, they offered no help.

I was a manager for a narional pizza chain. I know how important it is to see the small items that need attention. Fopr example: employees that help customers in a propmt manner. The store it self was clean and organized. All my employees had name badges and were clean and efficiant. The parking lot was clean and the over all apperance was clean. Any employee who is not customer related seems often to be locked into another wave length, totally ignoring the person who creates his salary - the customer. Some employees destroy the shopping experience by rotten attitudes, lack of interest, poor product knowledge, and a general bad vibe source of irritation. The product, price and company is wrapped in customer service - and the bright smiles, the pleasant acknowledgement, the sincerely delight of serving the customer makes the shopping experience exciting, rewarding and outstanding because it is so rare!

My whole being thinks in terms of what makes the bottom line profit be established or disappear. Business owners take all the risks, provide the opportunity for employees to make a future for themselves by their understanding that certain qualities make businesses successful. I violently oppose employee attitudes that believe that the boss and management OWE them a living, and they steal from their employees in time, materials and destructive attitude they bring onto the job. If employees could see the BIG picture - they might understand that it is the boss who has taken all the risks, who has provided the opportunity for employment and financial stability. I firmly believe that employee attitudes stick out like a sore thumb, and cost great harm to any business enterprise. I once waited on line for over 20 minutes in a line at a major pharmacy chain while the cashier carried on a personal conversation with the customer in front of me. It was very rude.
