Best/Worst Customer Service:

One of my best customer service experiences was at a local warehouse store.  I needed to develop my photos off of my digital camera card.  There was only one lady using the machine that loads photos off your card and you choose which ones to develop. She apologized for taking so long, but that she might be awhile longer.  The lady next in line said she had quite a few to pick out also. I had only 2 photos to develop and had my card in hand.  The worker ased if I too had many to pick out.  I said I had only two.  He took my card to his computer, loaded it and had me point to the two that I wanted.  He then clicked print and within 5 min. I had my photos.  The first lady still had not completed the process but I had my photos and was on my way.  Perfect customer service.

Candidates qualities:

I am a good candidate as a Mystery Shopper because of my experience in life.  I have worked in the food industry from 14 years old to 21 and demonstrated excellent customer service every work day.  I know how I like to be treated in a store, and how the worker would like to be treated.  There are a few retail shops I won't go to based on how I have been treated, and how I've seen them treat others.  Customer service is BIG for me when shopping.  I know what to look for in a business to ensure that others will want to shop there.

Thank you for your time,

Karena Ball

Best/Worst Customer Service:

We entered the restaurant in anticipation of, if not excellent, a unique dining experience.  Our waitress really made it a memorable event.  Soon after we were seated at our table a drink server came up to take our drink orders.  About 20 minutes after that, our waitress wandered up and took our orders.  Nearly an hour later, our food still had not arrived.  We had not been checked on by any waiters or waitresses.  We watched two birthday celebrations while no one came over to see why we had a completely clean table.  Finally, our waitress came back, apologizing.  She had gotten our order mixed up with a previous table.  She offered us free dessert and a $10 off coupon.  Another waitress came out with our food about 20 minutes later.  Our server came back once to refill drinks.  When it came time for dessert, our waitress wandered back out and took down our order.  She told us the desserts would only take a couple of minutes.  She seemed very disconnected from us as customers and unfriendly. Then, after ente

Candidates qualities:

I have worked in the retail services for many years.  For three years I was a waitress in two different IHOP stores.  I worked for a year in a grocery store bakery.  After that I worked as telephone customer service for USPS and Microsoft Technical Support as well as selling credit cards for American Express.  In the telephone customer service position, I was one of the top representatives for USPS and I was the best seller on my American Express team, often selling twice as many cards as the next person.  Through these experiences I learned many valuable service skills.  I learned how to close a sale, express empathy, calm a customer, perfect accuracy and learn to observe detail.  As a waitress, I was responsible for keeping my section clean and free of syrup residue so I understand the importance of cleanliness.  I have a lot of experience in what makes a good retail establishment.

Best/Worst Customer Service:

Recently I was in a Lowe's store.  I had purchased some closet organizers. They were cut just a bit too long.  When I returned to have them recut, the person in the department said they had to be cut with a hacksaw. He saod he couldn't do anything about it except to sell me a hacksaw so I could do it myself.  Then he walked away.
I complained at customer service, and the man there was wonderful.  He took it to tool rental and had it cut for me.  He even brought it to me in the department where I was still shopping. I'm not sure if the hacksaw incident was the "worst" experience I have ever had, but the help I received from the other employee was among the best of my experiences.  He was a very kind, and a professional individual.

Candidates qualities:

I have travelled a lot and eaten in some of the best restaurants.  I'm also a great cook, and I know what's good and what's not.  I understand good service.  I'm reasonable and honest.  I have worked in retail in the past and know what's expected. I have transportation.  I'm in excellent health.

Best/Worst Customer Service:

My best experience was with a young man who truly enjoyed his job at Home Depot.  He went the extra mile for me.  He explained the pros and cons of some plants I was going to purchase for my garden.  His enthusium was wonderful, and he made my trip a great experience.  When I look at my rose garden, I often think of this young man.

My worst experience happened just recently at Wendy's where the general manager felt it was in her job description to humiliate me, but yelling at me because I didn't want the chili poured over the onions on my salad.

Candidates qualities:

I shop all the time.  I know what I like and I know how I expect to be treated.  I have an excellent eye for detail and can observe my environment and remember what I see.  I complete all my assignments in a timely manner and make sure that the details are clear and concise.  I will go the extra mile and fill out 2 reports if necessary ie one for the positive experience and one for the negative.  I am not afraid to be honest with my experience.  I enjoy wandering through a store and looking at what it has to offer me.  I make sure that all my reports reflect the information wanted, and make sure that I am an asset to those that I work for.

I went to a store to buy some clothing I was yelled a greating from a lady siting behind the counter on the floor she had her shoes of and never looked up from the book she was reading.  After I found the garment I was looking for a brought it to the counter ware i waited fro just about five minutes for the saame sale woman to heft herself of the floor and ring up my shirt.  She did not give me the total I had to look at the screen to get that then she "huffed" at me when I reminded her of the sale they were having.  She put the bag in the counter and sat down again not saying a single word to me after the hello all and all it was a very disrespectful incounter.

Best/Worst Customer Service:

The Best Customer Service Experience I remember was when my son was a few months old, which was back in 1999, we were at Olive Garden and my husband and I had just gotten our meal and our son started crying and wasn't feeling very well and he wouldn't settle down for anything, so we asked if we could get to go boxes and our check and the waitress got everything for us quickly and politely and told us that she understood because she had children as well. My husband and I thought that was very considerate and helpful to us and appreciated it so much.

Candidates qualities:

I think that I am a good candidate because I am a stay at home mom who would be going shopping with atleast one of my children, and as a mother I notice a lot of things, like how clean or dirty something is, or if it needs to be fixed and reported. I don't think companies would pay to much attention to a mother who is "checking" things out since that's what mom's do. I think I would do really well as a mystery shopper.

Best/Worst Customer Service:

My best customer service experience was with CompUSA & Costco.  My computer had crashed.  I went to CompUSA to see about getting it repaired.  The salesman explained that it would be very expensive to repair.  Since my warranty had only expired the week before, he suggested that I contact Costco before having it fixed.  Costco informed me that several other computers of the same model had also had problems.  Even though the warranty had just expired, they refunded my money completely, allowing me to purchase another computer from them.  Both companies are now on my preferred-status list, and I will always use them if possible because of their honesty and compassion.  It was also good business for Costco because I bought a much more expensive computer.

Candidates qualities:

I have been on both sides of the customer service process.  As a store owner/manager/salesman, I know the importance of customer satisfaction, how to handle customer problems appropriately, and the importance of making customers feel important to the establishment.  As a customer, I have experienced both great and poor salesmanship, have encountered most problems that customers will face when shopping and know how frustrating the shopping experience can be at times.

Best/Worst Customer Service

I was working in nutrition sales at Whole Foods in Denver. A man came in the day before Easter in need of a gift basket to take to his girlfriends parents home the next day. We were completely out of any pre-made baskets and he was desperate. Although I didn't know where the things were to make him a basket, I said that I would. What seemed like a fairly easy request turned out to be a fairly daunting task because all of the items were locked up, and I had to help him hand-pick everything to go into the basket from around the store. An hour (or so) later I was tying the bow on the basket and he was happy to have something nice to bring for Easter.

Candidates qualities

I would be a great mystery shopper because my own employment as a private chef and caterer as well as a massage therapist relies on great customer service, and I have worked in sales in the past. I also enjoy writing and think I would enjoy the task of visiting different businesses and writing about each experience.

Best/Worst Customer Service

Best customer service experience ever was at Outback Restaurant. Things were not going well (salad wilted, food took 45 minutes, etc), but things were obviously very busy. Even before we had an opportunity to complain the Shift manager came to our table and explained that they were under-staffed due to several employees calling in with extenuating circumstances. They were doing the best they could but realized that they were falling short of their customers expectations. He apologized, gave us a certificate for a free appetizer on our next visit and took a few dollars of our bill for the salads. He also checked back later to make sure our meals were okay.
