Our Agency has been in the Manufacturing Representative business for 30 years.
I, ( now President of MK Marketing) started out making my first call to
Cabela's in 1977 and called on Jim Cabela ( a buyer at that time) for the first
time in 1978. I left that appointment without an order, but three weeks later
received 22 Purchase Orders from Cabela's signed by Jim.
That was the start of working with major accounts, and to this day have expanded
to several of the major accounts with our sales force within the 9 state area.
We have coverage of the major accounts, to include: Cabela's, Bass Pro, Gander
Mountain, Scheels All Sports Stores, Mills Farm and Fleet, Westlake Hardware in
KC, Sutherlands in KC.
We have expanded recently (January of 2007) to the up and coming internet
companies and have done very well the first year with them.
