XXXXX is a relatively new Manufacturer's Rep firm that is looking for growth opportunities mainly in the Indiana marketplace. XXXXX has been a manufacturer's representative or manufacturer's Regional Sales Manager for over fourteen years and heads our four person team. XXXXX works mainly in the commercial construction industry calling on specifiers, distributors, and contractors in the MEP and General Contractor fields. Sales for existing products grew over 40% in 2004 with greater growth projected for 2005.
XXXXX is affiliated with XXXXX an Owner's Representative Firm that specializes in managing commercial construction projects on behalf of the owner. This provides our firm with a unique opportunity to build relationships with specifiers, suppliers, and contractors through daily interaction on active projects. One project for XXXXX generally leads to multiple opportunities for XXXXX to sell materials. While we work with a GC on one project, that same GC has dozens of other projects going on that XXXXX is not involved in. Working with them on that single project allows XXXXX a major inroad to all of the other projects. The same holds true for specifiers. Relatively new agency formed after more than 30 successful years in fastener and hardware manufacturing, distribution, and some time in the late 70s as a rep. Knowledge of fasteners at all levels with great emphasis on product technical knowledge and the ability to get to right people. Good computer skills with some experience in Visual Basic programming for XL. The plan is to take a limited number of good compatible lines. The intent is to do an excellent job for a few lines ( 5 to 7), rather than a mediocre job for a a lot of lines like some of the big agencies. When I reach my full complement, I'll spend all my time working for you, not looking for more lines.
