XXXXX sells only to industrial distributors throughout our territory that primarily serve the STAFDA, Concrete, Contractor Supply, Electrical Supply, Hardware, Industrial, Lawn & Garden, Plumbing, Rental, Utility, Welding Supply, Safety, traditional Fastener Supply Houses, and Agriculture markets. A number of the vendors we represent had no measurable presence here when we took on their line but now enjoy considerable success here.
XXXXX covers 7 southeastern states; Virginia, North & South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee. Our staff includes 7 experienced salesmen that operate from offices within their assigned sales territories plus 1 inside salesman. Our outside sales personnel each have many years of professional sales experience, have been with our agency on average for approximately 8 years and know their customer base quite well.
A significant part of XXXXX’s success has come from the effectiveness of our local warehousing program upon which many XXXXX customers depend. Faced with delivery pressure from their own customers, many distributors prefer not to have to wait for ordered goods to arrive from distant shipping points. Where we locally warehouse popular items for the vendors we represent, XXXXX customers can place their orders with us by 1 P.M., pick up the goods here and deliver them to their customers, typically all in the same day. XXXXX has a large following of loyal customers that have come to rely on and appreciate our same day pickup program. Likewise, our customers in nearby neighboring states know that, if we have it in stock, their goods will normally arrive at their location within about 1 day after they place their order with us. The program also provides the vendor with all necessary inventory and financial controls, etc. and additionally offers the vendor a very effective mechanism to better penetrate this market
