       By and large, automotive aftermarket product manufacturers, marketing service providers and technology suppliers find that dealing with national group and chain headquarters (and their committee structures) is an extremely frustrating and time-consuming process.
       If fact, many times a smaller or evolving supplier just cannot devote the amount of attention that's needed to "break the code" with a national aftermarket organization.  This is particularly true today as most national groups and chain headquarters are asking for more customized products, which presents extreme start-up communications and training challenges.
       At the same time, there are many fine and successful independent sales agency representatives accomplishing significant work for their manufacturer principals on a regional basis, but they recognize that selling opportunities are not being maximized due to the principal not having a totally coordinated national strategy for group and chain clients.
